A homemade water purifier is a great idea if you have a child is a scientific project. They make for interesting conversation in Boy Scout meetings. And there is something for the kids on a rainy day. It's almost like a magic trick when it right to work. Of course you would not want the water that was purified by a home made drink water purifiers. You are not really air purifiers.
What you can do is to remove some dirt, but not bacteria or otherImpurities. The best way to show the effect is to collect a bowl of stinky pond water. Place the bowl on a field that make up about a foot. sure it is stable enough to support the bowl. Place an empty bowl on the table, next to the box. Braid yarn about two meters long rope and put an end to the dirty dish and the other in the bowl on the table.
Go do something else, about an hour and you will be found again that the pond water was absorbed by the yarn rope. They traveled along the length of the rope and dropped into the clean bowl on the table. Finally, all will be absorbed by the pond water, but mud dirt and dust will remain in the bowl. The water will "look" cleaner. But is it really clean? If you have a microscope, you can use a few drops on a slide and you will see probably about to move organisms on the slide.
These organisms causing waterborne diseases. The symptoms are similar to food poisoning.
InBesides a homemade water purifier, you will also want to get a do-it-yourself test kit from Home Depot or similar store. With it you can show the children what happened in the tap water and explain why you have a device's cleaning on your tap. Do not have one? That is a big mistake. Public facilities for the treatment can only protect so much for our health. You get rid of the majority of organisms that can make us sick, but they do use chlorine toit.
Chlorine itself is not very toxic, but the compounds that are released during the chlorination process of cancer. There is no doubt. It is not a theory or a possibility. It is a fact. I'm not sure that the do-it-yourself test kits for them, but they test for chlorine. If you have chlorine, you have the cancer-causing compounds.
A homemade water purifier can not be used, instead of an advanced cleaning system. The processes are too complex. But if youUse the do-it-yourself test and show them the steps taken by devices (you can see that the Internet), you may be able to help your children understand the importance of water conservation and cleaning. When I was a kid, we visited a recycling plant and I have since been interested. So, make a homemade water purifier for the children. And if you do not already, get a cleaning device for your kitchen sink.
